Short game practice facilities and Tour
Greens europe
Good teachers and serious golfers throughout the world
know the benefits of practicing the short game. As
much as 65% of all shots in a game of golf take place
inside of 100 yards. Even the worlds best golfers
miss an average of 5 or 6 greens every time they play.
Getting down in 2 shots when you miss a green is one
of the keys to low scoring.
This can only be achieved by practising the short
game yet most golfers if they practice at all usually
practice the long game. There are many reasons for
this. Facilities have been set up with the long game
in mind. Look at your average driving range. Traditional
golf courses just do not have the space available
to provide facilities. It is extremely difficult to
find any, never mind good quality practice facilities
for your short game. Commercial short game practice
areas are few and far between partly because natural
grass short game areas are very difficult and expensive
to maintain and partly because golfers are only now
starting to demand such a facility having seen and
tried out short game academies at some of the better
out of town new courses.
Many enlightened golfers over the years have built
a golf green at their homes to satisfy their desire
to have their very own short game practice area. However
the vast majority of these home golf greens become
overgrown and unusable within the first 2 years of
their existence.
Tour Greens europe was founded to satisfy every golfers
desire to own a golf green. We specialize in all weather
or synthetic surfaces because of the maintenance problems
and expense associated with keeping natural grass
surfaces. We welcome all golfers to check out one
of our installations and judge the product for themselves.
At Tour Greens europe we design and build synthetic
short game practice facilities . We can built a practice
area for an individual golfer at their home or we
can build a short game academy at your golf club,
driving range, hotel or place of business.
We only use the finest materials in our installations
and our installers led by Tour Greens europe director
Tim Dellow are the best in the business. Our installation
team in the UK is led by Stuart Kearney and by Tony
Hynes in the rest of Europe. We have a training school
which might be of interest to would be installers
throughout Europe but should you require an installation
or consultancy on a project Tour Greens europe can
travel to any destination to work with you.
